The Broadway debut of Pinky's first play, Pinky D: The Early Years, opened to thunderous applause from the theater going public. The critics were less kind. "...the play is finally sunk not by its anfractuous plot but by its weight of whimsy." (Nigel Andrews, New York Times, March 11, 2006). Pinky's already written sequel, Pinky D: Crouching Towards Senility, opens next month in Beijing. Mr. Andrews is not invited.
