Here's the set for the beginning scene of the opera based in the life of Pinky Diablo (Das Pink Cycle). The birthing scene: a large, bald head (actually a huge pink weather balloon) pushes it's way through the opening behind the columns and some big gals with horns sing: "He's a gift from the gods!" over and over and over in Dutch. Then the balloon pops, spraying the audience with pink cottage cheese. Bet you can't wait for the finale! (It's not written yet, but Pinky imagines himself dying onstage for at least an hour and a half.)
