Nadine's Coming Home with Her Tail Between Her Legs
Nadine ran off to New York this summer, tired of her life in a small town where all the church ladies recorded her late night comings and goings. However, Manhattan wasn't quite what she expected. In her squalid, cold water flat, Nadine spent hours on end thinking about Pinky. And to add insult to injury, nobody took any notice of her comings and goings. But soon she will be back in her own comfortable apartment--locked inside with all her imaginary pets--knowing Pinky and the church ladies are watching her every move. (Her only worry now is how to repay Pinky for the return ticket he so kindly sent her.)
Pinky has retired from the zoo to work on his opera "The Zoo Keeper's Lament" and to embroider baby chicks and dirty words on pillowcases.
