Change of Plans

Pinky wasn't getting the results he expected from the last focus group. He has let them go and hired this new group who appear much more professional.

Pinky has Decided Against a Mentor

Tiny Icarus

Diablo Inc. executives were Googling Pinky's name (as well as his alter ego's) and found this tiny sculpture that Pinky made years ago. It showed up on a recent Dallas art tour site. They also found a photo of a Chicago area fan wearing a bootleg Pinky Diablo t-shirt. (The wearer shouldn't worry too much--the marketing execs don't communicate well with the legal dept. here at Diablo Inc.)

Mrs. Wilhelmina Besslerkatzen-Smith

Wilhelmina Besslerkatzen-Smith arrives daily at the zoo where Pinky works at 6:00 AM sharp. Pinky and his fellow zoo keepers are standing at attention with shovels in hand and she inspects them from head to toe. (Mrs. Besslerkatzen-Smith inherited the zoo from her late husband,
Selmer "Bring 'em Back Alive" Smith.) Pinky is on the short list to work at her mansion as her private monkey keeper. This would include laying out their daily outfits, ironing, etc. Today she gave Pinky a slight nod which made him think he might have made the cut.

No Plain Walls: The Story of the Diablo Women (Part 3 in a Series)

Here is Pinky’s great-grandmother, Debo (the one in pink, of course), ordering her 43rd husband off her property with a pistol. Standing guard is Pinky’s grandmother (from Husband no. 15). Debo insisted on wearing white to every one of her weddings. She also used the same gift registry from the local department store. By the time she died, she had 72 toasters lined up in her kitchen. Granny D used to visit when she was a little girl. She called every new grandfather, Paw-Paw, and didn’t even realize they were different men.

Aunt Tisby watched exactly 62 minutes of TV every night. What made her a Diablo was the fact that it wasn’t plugged in.

Pinky’s great-aunt was named after her parents' favorite president, Grover Cleavland. Aunt Cleavie was a firecracker. When she was 19, she came in from the garden with a hummingbird attached to her hand. She had reached out to touch it, and it flew at her with such rage that its bill pierced her palm. The wound never healed. Pinky visited her once when she was 98. She made peanut butter cookies and bled on every delicious one of them!
