True Story
Miss Love has been mad at Pinky since the State Fair. She borrowed a horse suit for him to wear, and after the fair it was n'er to be found. Then Miss Love discovered Pinky in his storage trailer out back goofing around in it. (Well, that's partly true. --AND there was no fairy godmother to intervene on Pinky's behalf.)

Nadine's Bigamous Past
County records show Nadine married Rodger Litmore (left) on July 19, 1969. She married Bucky Kintrell (right) on July 20, 1969. Roger and Bucky are shown here on July 21 after they discovered they were married to the same woman. Both marriages were annulled, and Nadine went on to marry 23 more times.

No Plain Walls: The Story of the Diablo Women (Part 3 in a Series)
Here is Pinky’s great-grandmother, Debo (the one in pink, of course), ordering her 43rd husband off her property with a pistol. Standing guard is Pinky’s grandmother (from Husband no. 15). Debo insisted on wearing white to every one of her weddings. She also used the same gift registry from the local department store. By the time she died, she had 72 toasters lined up in her kitchen. Granny D used to visit when she was a little girl. She called every new grandfather, Paw-Paw, and didn’t even realize they were different men.
