Pink Worry

Is the Diablo family story of Pinky's birth a lie? Was he not born in a hurricane after all? Pinky recently found this photograph hidden in Pableau X's underwear drawer with a note pinned to it:"Do not let Pinky see!!!!!" Pinky had once heard that his dear Papa had been a petroleum engineer before becoming a poet. Pinky turned the note over and on the back was written: "After creating such a monstrosity, I must forsake this devilish career they call science." At least Pinky knows now why he has such a fascination with jars.

Here is a shot inside of Granny D's cabinet. Pinky made the feathered object on the left over 35 years ago. He gathered cedar wax wing feathers and stuck them into wet clay then pressed some of Granny D's jewelry around the edges to create a lovely pattern. Since this objet d'art couldn't be fired, Pinky coated it in several layers of clear fingernail polish. If Granny D kept this all these years, imagine what else she has saved.

When Pableau X was a young boy in Oklahoma, there was a neighbor lady named Sidney Rodeo. Pableau X was fascinated with her. She smoked huge cigars and made little peanut pies for him. She told him her first husband was a tornado and her second was Cheatin' personified. She told little Pableau X that she'd as soon marry a pie as another man.
