Birthing Chariot

This is the chariot that carried Granny D to the hospital when she went into labor with Pinky. It took too long to replace some of the wilted flowers when the call came, and as a result, the chauffeur had to pull over and let Granny D out to give birth to Pinky in a corn field. There is a historical marker at the site.

Granny D birthed Pinky right on the front lawn. Here one of the neighbor ladies describes Pinky's head as it started to crown. The ice cream man gave everybody free popsicles. All the neighbor kids had nightmares for years.
